A Good Friday Pilgrimage

This Good Friday, instead of meeting in our usual space, we are making a pilgrimage together to the beautiful baroque church at Křtiny, about 35 minutes from Brno by bus. We will walk the Stations of the Cross together in the covered cloisters of the Santini church, and then share a picnic in the castle park.

Everyone is welcome. The weather forecast is dry and sunny. It will be a gentle, contemplative afternoon together as we remember the passion and death of Christ.

  • 12:00 - Meet at Brno, Stará Osada bus stop. We gather 15 minutes before departure.

    12:15 - Bus 201 departs Stará Osada → Křtiny35-minute journey. Buy a 4-zone ticket (34 Kč) or use a Lítačka/Bankovní karta.

    12:50 - Arrive Křtiny, náměstí. The bus stop is right beside the church.

    13:00 - Stations of the Cross. We walk the 14 stations together in the church cloisters, with readings and prayers at each station.

    13:45 - Picnic in the castle park. Bring your own food and something to sit on. The park is just behind the church.

    14:50 - Return bus to Brno. Exact time to be confirmed (there are regular buses to Brno). We will arrive back at Stará Osada around 15:30.

  • 🥪 A packed lunch or snack - for a picnic after the stations

    🪑 A blanket or something to sit on for the picnic in the park.

    ☀️ Sun protection - the forecast is dry and sunny.

    💳 Your bus fare - a 4-zone IDS JMK ticket costs 34 Kč. You can pay by contactless card on the bus.

    📖 Printed copies of the stations liturgy will be provided.
